The Main Gate of campus has been closed for construction this summer. For ease of entry, Notre Dame is asking all wedding guests and special wedding transportation to use the East Gate to access campus. The link below shows a route from the Main Gate to the East Gate which will be available for entry at all wedding and rehearsal times.



Please build in an extra 10 minutes for travel (just in case!). All visitors will still have access to park in the Basilica/Grotto Lot. The wedding will start promptly at 11AM as there will be another wedding right after ours. It is recommended for guests to arrive at 10:30-10:45 AM to allow time to get seated.

The hotel has confirmed that our small block of rooms at the new Embassy Suites near Eddy Street has been shifted to the new date (July 15-17 2022). These are larger suites with potential for sharing and are walking distance from the Basilica. As such, these rooms are at a slightly higher price point ($209/night for a king 2-room suite and $229/night for a 2 Queen bed 2-room suite). As an alternative option for out-of-town guests, we have also reserved a number of standard-sized rooms at the Ivy Court that are at a lower price point. Please use the updated booking link below to book rooms within the Embassy Suites block at the negotiated lower rate. Reservations must be made no later than June 15, 2022 to receive negotiated group rate, rooms in block are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

These are Queen and King Suites with a pull-out couch to accommodate 4-6 people. These are slightly further from the Basilica, but still a walking distance to campus. There are indirect flights that fly into the South Bend airport (SBN). Alternatively, another popular option for traveling to South Bend is to fly into Chicago O'Hare airport (ORD) and either 1) rent a car, or 2) take the AMTRAK from Chicago's Union Station, which goes directly to the South Bend airport, or 3) take a Coach bus from O'Hare, which drops off at the Notre Dame bookstore. Other nearby airport options include Chicago Midway (MDW), Kalamazoo (AZO) and Grand Rapids (GRR). Links for the Coach Bus and AMTRAK are below:

If you choose not to rent a car, Uber and Lyft are great options for getting around the South Bend area, as their network is fairly well developed.
